reader challenge #1
challenge : duplicate gwen stefani's outfit
requested by : olivia b. from los angeles, ca
notes : im almost positive gwen is wearing a self belted trench coat dress, but i decided to make the outfit from separate pieces. the cardigan's buttons can easily be replaced with small nondescript black buttons, and i chose a cap sleeved shirt (to be tucked into the skirt) to decrease fabric bulk and bunching. the skirt is my favorite part mainly due to the flattering cut. i kind of love it A LOT. i also chose to not add lanvins actual 3 strap mary jane shoe cause i found one for close to $500 less. not as pretty, but it'll do.

NYE 09
my dream outfit if money were no issue

over the next couple of days, i'll be posting outfits of what i picture my friends would wear for new years. i take their personalities, color preferences, body shape and overall attitude in consideration when putting these together. the first one is what i picture my sister would wear to a NYE party. (and yes, im using the same proenza schouler bag cause they are immensely beloved by the both of us.)
